
When you cannot wait to get to Google or your favorite news site as soon as the morning session starts, use the Windows Task Scheduler 8.1 or Windows 10 to open a web page automatically on startup. Or set to open at any time of day or night – Task Scheduler has a number of options to fine tune when an event occurs and what triggers their occurrence. To create the event, use the wizard basic task. To configure more advanced or later modify the task settings, use the wizard advanced tasks.
Step 1: Search and select “Schedule Tasks” to open the Task Scheduler. In Windows 7, 8 and 8.1, you can also access this window in “Control Panel | System and Security | Administrative Tools |. Task Scheduler”
Step 2: Choose “Create Basic Task” on the right sidebar option.
Step 3: The name of your task, provide an optional description and click “Next”.
Step 4: Select a trigger for the task of defining what should launch event, for example, “when the computer starts” and click if you select a time “Next.” – One of the four radio buttons top – launches a separate window in which you can specify the frequency or recurrence and zone options.

Step 5: Select the “Start a Program” for action and click “Next” to open the “Start a program”.
Step 6: Click “Browse” next to the “Program / script” to open a file browser window.
Step 7: Locate and select the browser you want to use, for example, Chrome. Click “Open.”
Step 8: Add the full URL of the web page to open the “Add arguments” field, including the “http” or “https” for example, “http:… //nytimes.com Click Next”
Step 9: Evaluate your completed task. If you want to edit, select the check box “Open the Properties dialog for this task when I click Finish” to open the Properties window of the task. If you do not check, clicking “Finish” the wizard closes Create basic task and returns you to the Windows Task Scheduler.
Step 10: See your new task in the Task Scheduler Library. To run the task, click “Run” in the right sidebar, where you can also disable the end, export or delete it.
To edit your scheduled after task, double-click it in the task scheduler to launch its Properties window. This window has several tabs to customize their work in a variety of ways. For example, you can choose “run with highest privileges” on the Settings tab to run the task as administrator. You can adjust the trigger that makes the task of implementing the triggers tab, which provides a set of options that are not available when the wizard basic task is used. If you want to open a Web page when Windows starts and is not necessary to refine any other details, simply create a shortcut to it and put it in the Startup folder. In Windows 8, you cannot access the home folder of a search in the home screen; rather, go to directly: Press “Windows-R” to open the Run dialog box, type “% AppData%” and click “OK” to open the Roaming folder of your user profile. The Startup folder is in Microsoft \ Windows \ Start Menu \ Programs. To create the shortcut and add, open the Web page in the browser and simply drag the URL address field of your browser URL in the Programs folder.
